Sarah Emily Ramos (born May 21, 1991) is an American actress. Her most prominent roles have been as Patty Pryor on the television series American Dreams and Haddie Braverman on the series Parenthood.
Early life[]
Ramos was born in Los Angeles, California, of Hispanic, Filipino and Jewish descent.[1][2] She became very interested in acting at a young age. Ramos began developing her acting abilities at the age of nine, entering into formal training at Center Stage L.A.[3] She graduated from Columbia University in May 2015.[4]
Career[]
Ramos was nominated for three Young Artist Awards in 2003 for "Best Television Ensemble", in 2004 for "Best Young Actress Under 10, Television Drama", and in 2005 for "Best Supporting Actress, Television Drama or Comedy" for her work in American Dreams.
In 2003, she won "Best Actress, Television Drama" from Women's Image Network.
In April 2006, she landed the role of Hannah Rader on the CW series Runaway. However, the show was canceled after one season.
In 2009, she was cast as Haddie Braverman in the NBC series Parenthood.
In August 2024, she was cast as Dr. Caitlin Lenox for Season 10 of the NBC series Chicago Med.[5]
Personal life[]
In July 2016, Ramos announced via social media that she is in a relationship with director Matt Spicer, who she has been dating since 2013. Ramos announced that she and Spicer were engaged in an Instagram post on July 30, 2019. In December 2020, Ramos announced via Instagram that she and Spicer married October 25, 2020.
